Check a contractor before you pay anyone
Washington L&I publishes registration, bond and insurance status for every registered contractor.

Never pay a large deposit up front, never pay in cash without a receipt, and be wary of anyone who approached you first after the fires.
The contractor directory is not open yet
There is no application form here yet, and nothing on this page collects your details. Saying so plainly is better than a form that goes nowhere.
If you want to be told when it opens, write to support@spokanefirehousing.com. Send a name and a website — nothing else is needed yet.
Everything here will be subject to the community guidelines.
What a listing here will and will not say
- It will say “WA L&I record checked [date]” and show what that record said on that date.
- It will never say “verified”, “safe”, “approved” or “recommended”. A record check on a date is not a judgment about workmanship.
- A lapsed registration, a suspension or a failed recheck unpublishes a listing automatically rather than waiting for someone to notice.
- An approved listing cannot be edited in place — changes create a pending revision while the approved version stays public, so a listing cannot be approved on one claim and switched to another.
- No paid placement and no referral monetisation without disclosure.
